- Peder Holk Nielsen joined Novo Industri A/S in 1984 as an assistant product manager in the Enzymes Division.

From 1985 to 1986 he served as product manager for new products/markets, Enzymes Division, and from 1986 as product manager, Enzyme Process Division.

In 1987 he became manager of the New Business Development Group, and was appointed director of the New Business Development Group in 1988.

He was appointed vice president of Industrial Biotechnology in 1990 and vice president of Research and Development in the Enzyme Process Division in 1993.

Between December 1994 and December 1998 he was corporate vice president of Enzyme Development and Applications.

In 1996 he also assumed responsibility for Quality Management in Enzyme Business.

In January 1999 he was appointed corporate vice president of Enzyme Business Operations.

In 2000 Peder Holk Nielsen was appointed Executive Vice President, Business Operations (Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain Operations) in Novozymes.

In 2007 appointed Head of Enzyme Business
Peder Holk Nielsen holds an MSc (chemical engineering) from the Technical University of Denmark, Copenhagen (1981), and a PhD from the Institute of Chemical Engineering, Technical University of Denmark (1984). He also holds a BCom (International Business Management) from the Copenhagen Business School (1985).
