Thomas Nagy was appointed Executive Vice President and COS of Stakeholder Relations in October 2007. Responsibilities include Corporate Communications, Sustainability Development, Corporate People & Organization, Facilitation and Organizational Audits.
Thomas joined Novozymes in 1986 as a Chemical Engineer when Novozymes A/S was the enzyme division of Novo Nordisk A/S. Over the the years, Thomas has gained international experience from assignments in Brazil and the United States.
Prior to his current position, Thomas served as President of Novozymes North America Inc. from 2004 to 2007. Prior to this, he held a number of technical and managerial positions within enzyme and insulin bulk production, before being promoted Vice President for Production Denmark and Global Procurement in connection with Novozymes A/S’ launch and demerger from Novo Nordisk A/S in 2000.
Over the years, Thomas has been actively involved in several key steering groups dealing with production and supply technology, optimization, sustainability, corporate social responsibility and business strategy development.
While assigned to the operations in the United States, Thomas served as member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO). Today, he is board member of Danish American Business Forum.
Thomas Nagy received his B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the Technical University in Copenhagen (1985) and is a graduate of Wharton School of Business AMP program (2006). In addition, Thomas has completed a number of business and management programs.
