Medical Insurance
Employees choose between PPO and HMO plans, with the Company paying the entire annual premium cost for the employee and all dependents. Medical and Dental Insurance begins on the first day of employment.

Dental Insurance
The Company pays the total annual premium cost for each employee and all dependents for this comprehensive dental program.

Vacation
A good work/life balance is recognized as being very important at Novozymes. All employees receive a minimum of 3 weeks of vacation per year, earning a 4th week after 5 years, and a 5th week of vacation after 10 years of employment.

Retirement
Novozymes, Inc. generously matches employee contributions into the 401(k) Thrift Plan. Each year end, the Company also makes a discretionary profit sharing contribution into each employee's account.

Holidays
Novozymes, Inc. observes 10 paid holidays, as well as 2 personal paid holidays.

Sick Pay
Employees earn 80 hours of paid sick time per year. Sick leave may be used for the employee's own illness or the illness of an employee's child, parent, spouse, or domestic partner.

Health Club Reimbursement
Employee health is very important at Novozymes, Inc., so we will contribute up to $150 annually towards the cost of an employee's health club membership.


Flexible Spending Accounts
Employees may contribute on a pre-tax basis to Health Care and Dependent Day Care accounts. Employees are then reimbursed from these accounts for out of pocket expenses, providing an overall savings to the employee for expenses.

Income Protection
Novozymes, Inc. provides employees with Short and Long Term Disability Insurance, Employee Life Insurance, a comprehensive Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance policy, and a Business Travel Accident insurance plan. In addition, the employee also has the option to purchase Dependent Life and Long-Term Care Insurance.

Supplemental Health Reimbursement
Novozymes, Inc. will reimburse up to $250 annually for out of pocket medical, dental, and optometric costs.

Employee Assistance Plan (EAP)
The Company's EAP provides the employee with a range of services and support if the employee or a family member needs help with emotional issues, chemical dependency, child care or elder care information, or just everyday stress.  Employees and eligible dependents are eligible for up to 6 counseling sessions per year at no charge. These services are fully paid for by Novozymes, Inc.

AFLAC Supplemental Insurances
Employees may purchase AFLAC supplemental insurance coverage to pay direct out of pocket medical expenses such as deductibles and co-payments, as well as non-medical expenses.

Additional Benefits
The Company attempts to provide a wide range of additional programs to address the needs and goals of our employee population. These additional benefit programs include smoking cessation, survivor support, professional training, and weight loss program reimbursement.

Tuition Reimbursement
Novozymes, Inc. provides employees with an opportunity to develop job-related skills for both current and future positions within the Company. With management approval, the Company will reimburse all eligible expenses up to $2500 each year.

Employee Recognition Program
The Company's peer-based recognition program allows employees to nominate colleagues who have made a significant contribution to the organization. Two times each year, a review committee made up of 5 Novozymes, Inc. employees reviews nominations and selects a recipient. Each of the 2 employees chosen for the Employee Recognition Program throughout the year receive a $500 cash award.
