Novozymes in California, established in 1992, is a wholly owned research and development affiliate of Novozymes A/S - the biotech-based world leader in enzymes and microorganisms.
The site is located in Davis, California - a small university town nestled between the Sierra Nevada mountain range and the Napa Valley, just 70 miles north of San Francisco and 10 miles west of the California state capital, Sacramento.
73 professionals, including 60 scientists in the fields of molecular biology, protein chemistry, chemical engineering and microbial physiology, are working at the site, forming the US research arm of Novozymes A/S.
