Robust enough to withstand variation
Not only do wash conditions vary, but consumers often dose their detergents differently from wash to wash. As a detergent producer, it is important to make sure that your formulation is robust enough to withstand variations in wash conditions and detergent dosing. Liquanase has a number of built-in features that address these challenges.
Soil load
Typically, the wash performance of proteases will vary with the amount of dirty clothes in the washing machine. It is import-ant that proteases clean efficiently in both high-soil and low-soil loads. Liquanase is able to perform well regardless of the soil load level.
Temperature
Consumers definitely want to be able to wash at 40ºC, but the trend is also to reduce washing temperatures to as low as 30ºC. Formulations today must be robust enough to perform at these varying temperatures. Liquanase is superior to existing proteases at the normal wash temperature of 40ºC, and typically has even more cleaning power at lower temperatures.
Water hardness
Just as with Novozymes’ other proteases, Liquanase offers excellent performance at a wide range of water hardness levels. Naturally, protease performance will vary depending on water hardness, but Liquanase offers the best possible performance, even at very high water hardness.
