Aquazym®
Aquazym is an amylase used in the forest products industry for low-temperature modification of starch.
- In a deinking process, the enzymatic modification of starch (degradation) helps to liberate ink particles from the paper surface, thus enabling a higher brightness level in end-products.
- Controled hydrolysis of starch by Aquazym permits suitable viscosity adjustments of coatings and sizes
