Using enzymes
Enzymes can be used to specifically decolourise indigo in denim applications. With its action directed at the dyestuff only, the use of enzymes permits denim finishing with minimum strength loss. Enzymes fit well into most denim finishing processes and can be used in any type of equipment. The process is very simple to control and there is no risk of over bleaching because the reaction stops by itself.
