Reporting is about transparency. On one hand, transparency of companies is to some degree required by law. On the other hand, companies – such as Novozymes – wish to be open to facilitate stakeholder dialogue, to get response to decisions made, and to gain trust.
At Novozymes, some production sites report on environmental and social performance to meet local stakeholders’ needs and expectations and to make sure we get a valid response on local performance. Accordingly, we are disaggregating environmental and social performance data, and data for all sites can be seen separately.
Novozymes annual report is prepared in accordance with the Danish Company Accounts Act, the current Danish accounting standards and the regulations of the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. We make use of the
Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Guidelines for Sustainability Reporting. It is audited in accordance with International and Danish auditing standards, and third party assurance is based on the
AA1000 Assurance Standard and in accordance with ISAE 3000.
