Antibiotic resistance gene markers
Go back  Go back

The markers are genes that confer resistance on antibiotics. The markers are used during the transformation/selection process in the development of the majority of GMOs. Marker genes are inserted into genetically modified organisms to facilitate identification of genetically modified tissues or cells. Novozymes has decided to find alternative ways of obtaining selection markers in future developments of new enzyme production strains.
