DNA array technology
Go back  Go back

A technology in which single-stranded or double-stranded DNA fragments are spotted onto a solid carrier and then hybridized to labelled mRNA isolated from one cell population or to mRNA from two different cell populations labelled differently, followed by detection of the hybridization signals. The method is used to quantify individual mRNA species or to determine the ratio of the presence of an individual mRNA species between two different cell populations.
