Post Doc position, non-coding RNA in Bacillus, Bagsvaerd
At Novozymes headquarters in Denmark we have a 30-month Post Doc position available in the department of Bacterial Strain Technology.
The project title is: “NextProd: Next generation cell factories for industrial production by non-coding RNA manipulation”. Three Danish research groups are contributing to the project, which is financed by Innovation Fund Denmark. You can read more on the project at
The aim of the project is to identify and manipulate noncoding RNA-molecules that have an effect on protein yield to improve Bacillus subtilis as a cell factory. You will be part of a team of three Post Docs and two Ph.D. students, who will be involved in different tasks in the project. You will work in close collaboration with fellow scientists and specialists from other departments.
Expected start date is June 1, 2017.

In this position you need to have:
  • A strong background in molecular biology/biochemistry with a PhD degree.
  • An open and creative approach to problem solving.
  • Experience in working with RNA is an advantage, but not a requirement.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
