Novozymes is P&G’s ‘External Business Partner of the Year’ – five years in a row

Novozymes is the only company to receive P&G’s highest external business partner recognition – the ‘External Business Partner of the Year’ award – five years in a row.

The world’s largest consumer goods company, Procter & Gamble (P&G), has named Novozymes as "External Business Partner of the Year" for the fifth year in a row. Procter & Gamble announced the awards at its annual External Business Partner Summit on September 11, 2012 in Cincinnati.

P&G has 75,000 suppliers and among these, eight, including Novozymes, received the highest honor of being named ‘External Business Partner of the year’. In addition, Novozymes was also recognized with an ‘Excellence Award’ for performing consistently at high levels within P&G’s internal performance management system.

Five years in a row
“Winning this award five years in a row highlights our consistent commitment, drive and quest for innovation,” says Peder Holk Nielsen, Executive Vice President and head of the Enzyme Business at Novozymes. “The award is a signal that our customers acknowledge us for being a good business partner, and for our innovative solutions in the Household Care industry.”

According to Rick Hughes, Chief Purchasing Officer, P&G, “The entire P&G organization is focused on our top business priorities, and that includes our external business partners who help us innovate, operate more efficiently and win in the market."

Since 2008, P&G has committed to meeting annually with its top-performing suppliers to recognize and celebrate those partners who have demonstrated their excellence in a number of categories associated with commercial, operational, innovation, and relationship performance. This year over 400 companies from thirty-six different countries attended the event.
