It pays to wash with Novozymes Leviti

Lower rewash rates, extend textile lifetime, increase laundry capacity and save energy with Leviti

In today’s economy, it pays to get the most out of labor and textiles – especially since they represent the majority of professional laundries’ costs.
Leviti® enables laundry managers to operate their facilities more efficiently and more sustainably by using high-performance enzymes in detergents or boosters. And Leviti® helps formulators set new performance standards, simplify production and streamline procurement for better business, too.

Add efficiency to liquid detergents and liquid boosters

  • Lower rewash rates and utilize resources optimally through high stain removal
  • Extend linen lifetime through greater whiteness, better fabric care performance and milder washing conditions
  • Increase capacity through shorter wash cycles and lower rewash rates
  • Save energy through shorter and lower temperature wash cycles
  • Improve sustainability profile through enzymes, nature’s washing ingredients

Below you'll see just one example of how Leviti® is paying off for laundries and formulators.
It pays to wash kitchen workwear with Novozymes Leviti®
  • Reduce chemistry, temperature and wash time by reformulating the wash process to include a Novozymes Leviti® solution
  • Equipment: 60 kg washer extractors

One of the world’s leading formulators has worked with Novozymes to develop an enzymatic wash program that addresses the rewash challenge – and helps extend fabric lifetime. (See the results above.)

“Kitchen workwear, restaurant linens and garments for the food industry traditionally require lots of chemistry, high temperatures and long wash cycles because they get so dirty,” says a representative from the formulator.

“Chefs want their jackets to be spotless, table linens have to look like new, and you need hygienically clean garments for safe food production. But even extreme measures aren’t always enough to keep the rewash rate down.” What’s more, he says, such tough wash processes can take their toll on textiles and reduce fabric lifetime.

Environmentally friendly enzymes break down organic stains and can replace part of the traditional chemistry with a milder wash process. Multi-enzyme solutions both remove stains most efficiently, he asserts, and support the laundry industry’s move toward sustainability, green chemistry and lower COD in the wastewater.
