Novozymes’ OdorCap 5700 is a microbial product for most wastewater odor control applications. The microorganisms in OdorCap 5700 biologically oxidize common odor-causing compounds such as hydrogen sulfide (H2S), mercaptans (R-SH), and short-chain volatile fatty acids (VFAs). These microorganisms can use either oxygen or nitrate as an electron acceptor in their metabolic processes.
