Met52 EC is a liquid bioinsecticide containing spores of the pathogenic fungus Metarhizium anisopliae for the control of numerous insects in the USA and Canada. It is a naturally occurring fungus, meaning it has not been genetically modified.

For the USA, Met52 EC is labelled for thrips, whiteflies, mites, weevils and ticks.
There is also a current 2ee recommendation for aphids.

2ee recommendation

For Canada, Met52EC is labelled for thrips, whiteflies, mites, ticks and hairy chinch bugs.

How does it work?
Suspended spores of Metarhizium anisopliae need to come in contact with the targeted pests. The spores attach to the surface of the insect, germinate and penetrate the exoskeleton and grow inside the pest. Death of target pest may take several days.

How do I use it?
Met52 EC can be sprayed onto foliage or applied as a soil drench once mixed into water. Since the fungus needs to infect the pest by contact, coverage of all leaf surfaces or soil profile is critical. See the product label for complete details.

Met52G is a granular bioinsecticide containing spores of the pathogenic fungus Metarhizium anisopliae for the control of numerous insects in the USA and Canada. It is a naturally occurring fungus, meaning it has not been genetically modified.

For the USA, Met52G is labelled for thrip pupae, vine weevils and ticks (turf)

For Canada, Met52G is labelled for black vine weevil, strawberry root weevil and thrips.

How does it work?
Met52 Granular Bioinsecticide is composed of spores of the insect pathogenic fungus Metarhizium anisopliae Strain F52 on a grain matrix.
