P&G is the world’s largest consumer goods company. Novozymes’ main collaboration with P&G is in developing and selling enzymes for use in detergents and other household care products.

Novozymes’ detergent solutions help customers to improve wash performance, enable low-temperature washing, and replace chemicals with enzymes.

Novozymes’ sales to the Household Care industry increased by 4% organically in the first six months of 2016, as compared with the same period in 2015. Sales growth was driven by customers’ continued demand for liquid detergent formulas and for premium detergent products.

More integration, more innovation
The award was presented by David Taylor, President and CEO of P&G at a ceremony held at the company’s headquarters in Cincinnati, U.S., on Oct. 14. “We’re focused on getting back to balanced growth. Our supplier partners have a key role to play in our ability to deliver top-line, bottom-line and cash," Taylor said. "The more integrated and connected P&G and our supplier partners are, the better able we are to be more innovative and productive in meeting consumers’ needs and, as a result, deliver balanced and sustainable growth and value creation for our shareholders.”

Novozymes also received an Excellence Award at the ceremony.
