Human Health is a newly established strategic opportunity area at Novozymes that develops and markets innovative products to improve the health of consumers. We are a high-energy team with diverse backgrounds on a mission to develop solutions mainly aimed at the consumer care space. We focus on clinically proven probiotics and digestive enzymes. We base their development on strong scientific hypotheses and identified consumer demand.

We seek an experienced Account Manager for our commercial department to take ownership and help us grow our sales in North America. The focus of the position will be to defend and grow the existing business, and to develop new products with our customers by linking scientific advances with consumer insights. You must possess the technical background pared with a commercial mindset and the right contacts in the industry to make it happen.

You will be challenged by a high variety of tasks and by managing a high number of responsibilities simultaneously.

In this position you need to:

  • Have a degree in Food Science, Chemistry Engineering, Business, or related field with a relevant commercial experience.
  • Experience and contacts in the dietary supplements industry and specifically with the challenges associated with the production and marketing of probiotics and digestive enzymes.
  • Have an analytical and structured approach to problem solving, you are comfortable working both as part of a team and independently with responsibility for your own tasks
  • Have the ability to thrive in cross-functional teams with many stakeholders. You have a high level of drive and are motivated by seeing the implementation and results of your work
  • Have proven track record in negotiation, relationship management, opportunity and pipeline management as well as project management and execution with a passion for delivering impact and tangible results.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and drive, ability to thrive in uncertainty and constant change and willingness to do what is required to make things move forward
  • Have the ability to build long-term relationships with new and existing customers, and strong interpersonal skills.

You will report to our Global Head of Sales Human Health. This job will require to travel up to 50% of your time, with occasional weekend and international travels.
