Regional Business Manager- APAC, BioAg, Bangalore, India
If you are looking for a leadership role with a world leader in biological solutions, look no further. This role involves managerial responsibility for Novozymes BioAg personnel in the APAC region, working with existing and prospective customers to develop strong value propositions that help them differentiate their offerings in the market. You will be anchored within the regional Novozymes business and offices in Bangalore, India, with access to both local and global market information, insights and support. The role requires extensive and effective interaction with customers/distributors to identify and provide solutions meeting their needs. Experience the world of B2C in a B2B role in a growing and dynamic region.

The role requires extensive domestic and some international travel
In this position you will be primarily responsible for/to:

  • The P&L for BioAg in APAC.
  • Develop and lead a world-class BioAg team in the region, capable of executing an effective operational strategy and building trustful and respectful collaborations/relationships both internally and externally.
  • Develop clear organizational roles and responsibilities, enabling empowerment and ownership within clear mandates and direction.
  • Ensure a clear line of sight between business strategy and operational strategy.
  • Recruit, evaluate, coach, support leaders and other direct reports to improve organizational performance; Identify, develop, coach and mentor persons capable of upward mobility and future leadership roles.
  • Establish and drive a culture of focus, agility, efficiency, empowerment and sense of urgency, based on the Novozymes values.
  • Establish and enhance relationships with key industry stakeholders to provide support to BioAg objectives and serve as the primary interface with external partners and key customers.
  • Create a more visible Novozymes BioAg presence and branding in the marketplace, collaborating with support from Communications.
  • Explore digital opportunities to support partner dialogues and commercial ambitions more broadly.
  • Explore dialogues with potential partners that could disrupt the agricultural value chain and turn threats into opportunities.
  • Contribute valuable insight and recommendations to the Global Commercial Operations Lead, BioAg as well as to cross-functional decisions.
In this position, you require:
  • Bachelors/Master’s degree in Science
  • Ten or more years international managerial experience, preferably in the agriculture and/or food industry
  • Proven people leadership abilities including the ability to coach and develop an organization
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent high-functioning communications skills (both verbal and written)
