Business Development Manager – Microbial/Probiotic Cleaning
We have an exciting opportunity for a Global Business Development Manager in our organization. As part of the start-up-like agile Probiotic Cleaning platform team, you will shape and define the new consumer product goods (CPG) category of Probiotic Cleaners, disrupting the marketplace and responding to the strong consumer pull for natural product.

As our Business Development Manager in our RTP-offices (Raleigh-Durham), you will be defining the direction of the platform by translating market forces into value-optimized strategies and globally launch our microbial products into the consumer products market, directly working with our CPG-customers. At the same time, you will be part of our cross-functional empowered scrum/agile team driving towards the development and releasing of minimal viable products (MVPs), in close coordination with the global R&D colleagues. You will “connect to create” with global colleagues, functions, and external/internal customers aiming to excite and influence them.

To excel in this role, you will have excellent commercial/strategic instincts and experience. You are comfortable with high-level internal/external stakeholders, strategy development, commercial frameworks, business cases, and ambiguity. You are open to change and curious to learn new approaches/skills in a flexible team environment.

In this position, you need:
  • A Bachelor's degree (Business/Marketing/Finance), Masters/MBA strongly preferred
  • Track record of substantial professional experiences in a commercial role in either marketing, consulting, strategy development, project/product management and/or customer-facing roles (5-8 yrs)
  • Proven experience in leading/owning external B2B partnership projects (incl. research collaborations, customers etc.) under formal partnership agreements
  • Project management drive and ability to connect with internal stakeholders & external customers
  • Effective presentation and facilitation skills – PowerPoint Mastery and story-building required
  • Ability to create business cases and modeling – Excel skills required
  • Intuition to find and build consumer insights from primary/secondary market intelligence (esp. for CPG)
  • Agile certifications/understanding is a plus
  • Willingness to relocate to North Carolina (Raleigh area) and occasionally travel
