Every year, the Danish business magazine Berlingske Nyhedsmagasin selects Denmark's most respected companies, based on interviews with nearly 3,000 business leaders, and over 400,000 evaluations of 140 companies.

This year, Novozymes has once again moved up the ranks, from fifth place in 2005, to third place in 2006. That's up from ninth place in 2004.

Rising interest in biological solutions
Anna Lise Grandjean Mortensen (ALMG), vice president for Stakeholder Communications, is extremely pleased.

- One of Novozymes' strategic goals is to become better known for our biological solutions. Results from this survey are a step in the right direction, she says.

Interest in Novozymes seems to have increased as well:

-  It is clear that interest is rising in Novozymes. The number of articles written about the company increased by 27% from 2004 to 2005 and is continuing to climb in 2006. We are quite busy, says Eva Hald (EVVH), head of External Communication, responsible for relations with journalists.

Denmark's ten most respected companies in 2006:
1) Novo Nordisk
