Novozymes, the world leader in bioinnovation, is pleased to be recognized as a great place to work by the Great Place to Work Institute, which ranked the company sixth among the Best Large Workplaces in Denmark 2011. More than 120 companies participated in this year’s evaluation process.

Novozymes has also recently received top rankings in the US and Brazil, and is looking forward to upcoming rankings in Switzerland and India as well (results expected in 2012).

The Great Place to Work Institute conducts research into companies in over 40 countries, assessing the level of employee confidence in five dimensions: credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie, and people management practices.

Lead, learn, and grow
“Our employees globally are driven by a set of strong values. At Novozymes, we want to fully support our people and give them the foundation they need to lead, learn, and grow,” says Michael Almer, Head of Global Human Resources. “The set of company values called Touch the World lays the foundation and helps us attain our vision by changing the ways of our customers, their industries, and, ultimately, the world.”

“All employees are given a chance to be a leader within their own field, their team, or in management. Working with great people makes our jobs great,” adds Michael. “I am happy that we have moved from ninth place last year to sixth this year as it reflects our spirit of continuous improvement.”

Great place to work the world over
Earlier this year, Novozymes Latin America Ltda. in Brazil was ranked the 20th best company to work for among the 923 participating companies. It was ranked 10th in the industry category.
