The Danish-based industrial biotechnology company was one of four finalists cited by the Commerce Department for empowering and encouraging its employees to be active in the local and regional community, for its executive leadership and commitment, and its corporate mission statement and values.
In a separate release, Secretary Jim Fain saluted the finalists for “their civic and philanthropic contributions” and for embracing “the North Carolina communities in which they do business.”

Novozymes was presented with the award during an awards luncheon hosted by the N.C.Department of Commerce in Greensboro on Nov.16 at the Koury Convention Center.
